Hospital of Tomorrow
“If you wanted a model for the best health care, the most efficient, the best people, you would go to Vail Health Hospital, and study them very closely because they are the best.” – Rob Monroe, VVMC cardiac patient

Your gift will help transform Vail Health Hospital so the most seriously ill or injured patients can receive the very best care right here.
Building a Patient-centered FacilityYour support will ensure patients receive outstanding care in the most advanced hospital—close to home.
State-of-the-art facilities and technology will help Vail Health attract even more of the best minds in medicine. The health system is home to nearly 300 physicians across Eagle and Summit Counties. They serve our local community and visitors from around the world. We provide nearly 30 different medical services. And our partners offer world-renowned orthopaedics, family medicine and surgical care.
Most patients with serious conditions or injuries can remain in the region for big-city care. They have access to top physicians and clinical services right in our community.
More single rooms are being built. They increase privacy and provide a more pleasant stay. This improves care. Shortens hospital stays. Promotes faster recovery.
A new emergency department and larger ICU are being built. Staffed and equipped to provide even higher levels of trauma and critical care when every second counts.
Larger labs allow greater capacity and capabilities. Researchers can conduct more studies. Move discoveries to patient care quicker.
A new helipad will be constructed on the hospital campus. This eliminates ambulance transport, provides faster lifesaving care.
Hospital renovations will create warm, comfortable spaces, which promote healing and wellness. An efficient layout ensures the most effective delivery of care. And the new floor plan will make it easier to get around the hospital.
Being independent allows Vail Health to provide specialties not normally available in small, rural communities. Our independence ensures patient care is tailored to our community’s needs.
